New Deadpool 2 Photos Showcase Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Surge, Cable, Deadpool, and More!
We got our hands on 14 new Deadpool 2 images which include great shots of Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Surge, Cable, Domino, Dopinder, Blind Al, Colossus, and Julian Dennison’s Russell.
Take a look:
The most interesting image to me is Julian Dennison’s Russell. He’s obviously being held prisoner along with at least five others. But not only is he a prisoner, he also appears to have mutant abilities. He has some kind of advanced collar around his neck. If you watch The Gifted you’ll notice similar collars on mutant inmates including Polaris.
And his abilities were actually confirmed this past Friday on the 20th Century Fox Singapore Twitter account. But they also revealed just exactly who he is. Hot Stuff.

If that is his real name, then it looks like Ryan Reynolds and the Deadpool 2 team have created a brand new mutant for the movie. It also seemingly debunks the wildly popular theory that Dennison’s character was Kid Apocalypse. The theory believed Dennison was “the man responsible for the countless deaths of mutants and humans alike, as well as the excruciating transformation of Warren into Archangel — Apocalypse!” In Uncanny X-Force #4, Apocalypse’s followers, the Clan Akkaba, resurrect Apocalypse in the form of an innocent boy and begin to indoctrinate him. The X-Force team of Psylocke, Archangel, Deadpool, Wolverine, and Fantomex are faced with a moral dilemma, to kill the boy or not.
On one side is Psylocke who aims to protect the child, while Archangel declares he must be killed. The two eventually come to blows with Psylocke gaining the upper hand. Eventually Wolverine decides to take her side. However, Archangel deceives both Wolverine and Psylocke and is about to kill the boy when he breaks down and realizes he can’t do it. But as the team seemingly comes to an agreement to train the boy, Fantomex takes matters into his own hands and guns him down.
While it doesn’t appear Dennison’s character will be Kid Apocalypse, it’s still possible the Deadpool 2 storyline might be partially adapted from this story arc as the trailers have indicated Cable is on a mission to get the kid, which we can assume is Dennison’s Hot Shot.
Deadpool 2 hits theaters on May 18, 2018.
