The new synopsis states, “Uncharted tells the story of Nathan Drake and his first adventure with rival-turned partner Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan.”

It adds, “Starring Tom Holland as Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as quick-witted, wise-cracking Sully, Uncharted will introduce audiences to how Nathan Drake becomes the treasure hunter as he unravels one of history’s greatest mysteries and treasures in an action-adventure epic that spans the globe.”

Interestingly enough, Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception showcased the first meeting between Nathan Drake and Victor “Sully” Sullivan.

In the game, a young teenage Drake pilfers a museum in Cartagena, Columbia for Sir Francis Drake’s ring. While in the museum he’s caught by Katherine Marlowe and Sullivan who are also searching for the ring.

Drake nimbly escapes Sullivan and Marlowe, but a chase ensues across the Columbian rooftoops. He’s eventually cornered by one of Marlowe’s hired hands, but Sullivan shows up and kills him just as he is about to kill Drake.

Sullivan then takes the young Drake under his wing after he reveals that Sir Francis Drake might have been on a secret mission for the Queen of England while he was circumnavigating the globe.
