You might be wondering why Sony might choose Saturday of all days to release their first Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer. Well, one of the biggest comic conventions in the world will be taking place in Brazil on Saturday with CCXP officially beginning tomorrow.
Sony had a huge presence at last year’s CCXP in Brazil where they showcased Venom. In fact, if you remember last year, we got our first look at the Venom logo from CCXP. Not only would the logo for the film be revealed there, but Tom Hardy, who played Eddie Brock in Venom, recorded a video specifically for attendees at CCXP where he revealed the comic book inspiration for the film.
Along with the rumor of the trailer dropping on Saturday, there are also rumblings that Sony might release a teaser for the trailer on Thursday similar to what they did with Venom.
Not only is CCXP this Saturday, but Sony will also be releasing their animated feature Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse. What better way to promote your live-action Spider-Man film than with the release of your animated film?
The Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer will definitely be interesting as it will feature the first real live-action Mysterio and it’s possible we might even see another Spider-Man villain in Hydro-Man show up.
What are you expecting from the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer? Do you believe the trailer will drop this upcoming weekend or might we see it as we get closer to Christmas and New Year’s Day?
