The teaser trailer comes out as Detective Pikachu announced their tickets went on sale today, which if you’ve been following us knew was happening last week.
The teaser features a number of Pokemon including Jigglypuff, Pancham, Aipom, Dodrio, Venusaur, Eevee, Charizard, Pikachu, and Psyduck.
After showing of a number of the Pokemon, we get a hilarious clip where Reynolds’ Detective Pikachu is chatting up Psyduck, “So, let me get this right. We are forced to listen to this spa music so you’re head doesn’t explode and kill us all.”
We then get a montage of more Pokemon including Bulbasaur, Cubone, Squirtle, Snubbull, Lickitung, Flareon, Charmander and more.
The clip ends with a brief shot of a very angry Mewtwo.
The clip also confirms our previous coverage that you will be able to get an exclusive Detective Pikachu Pokémon card with purchase of a ticket.
Pokémon Detective Pikachu is directed by Rob Letterman based off a screenplay written by Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit.
The film stars Ryan Reynolds as Detective Pikachu, Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton, Suki Waterhouse, Ken Watanabe, Bill Nighy, Karan Soni, and Rob Delaney.
Pokémon Detective Pikachu hits theaters on May 9th with early screenings beginning at 4 pm.
