Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ WonderCon audio leaked online to Reddit. User angelothenerd posted over 5 minutes of audio to the Godzilla subreddit.
You can listen to it below:
Angelothenerd would also provide a description of what they saw to accompany the audio:
“It starts off with footage of destruction and storms around the world while Admiral Stenz is talking. Then we cut to Dr Emma Russel as she is trying to free King Ghidorah. She causes some explosion and Ghidorah starts moving, she then gets on a plane and taps a screen which plays a sound that makes King Ghidorah come out of the ice. Then King Ghidorah starts killing the people around him, he even uses his gravity beams on people its crazy. Next we see Godzilla come out of the water to confront King Ghidorah, it then skips to footage of Rodan fighting some jets and then actually eating someone. Rodan also fights Mothra for a brief second and then it shows more scenes of the titans that we have seen and it ends off with a short clip of Burning Godzilla’s face, his eyes are glowing orange.”
The film will see Monarch and the world face down human extinction as a number of horrific monsters emerge to wreak havoc including Rodan, Mothra, Godzilla, and the three-headed King Ghidorah. Based on the most recent trailers, it appears that Monarch will be able to communicate with Godzilla and team-up with him in order to defeat King Ghidorah.
Vera Farmiga revealed last July that her character is able to communicate with the monsters:
“I play a paleobiologist. She has figured out a way to communicate with the creatures and potentially control them using their bioacoustics on a sonar level. So she is like a DJ for the monsters.”
Godzilla: King of the Monsters is directed by Michael Dougherty based off a script written by Dougherty and Zach Shields. The film stars Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, Kyle Chandler, Ken Watanabe, Bradley Whitford, Sally Hawkins, Charles Dance, Thomas Middleditch, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and Ziyi Zhang.
The film hits theaters on May 31, 2019.
