Daredevil Actor Rosario Dawson Campaigns To Keep Star Wars Character Ahsoka Tano Alive

Daredevil actor Rosario Dawson recently threw her support behind keeping Star Wars character Ahsoka Tano alive.

In a simple post on Twitter, Dawson wrote, “Tell’em #AhsokaLives.”

While Ahsoka might be alive during the events of The Mandalorian, given the events of The Rise of the Skywalker the character died sometime between her last appearance in Star Wars Rebels and The Rise of Skywalker.

Tano’s voice can be heard alongside a number of dead Jedi giving Rey encouragement to keep fighting against Palpatine. The implication from the scene is that Tano died. If Tano was still alive during this scene, she would be the only Jedi alive giving advice.

Even more interesting about the scene is that Tano isn’t technically a member of the Jedi order. She chose to abandon the Jedi after she had been wrongfully accused of bombing the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.

While it seems Ahsoka died by the time the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker came about, Star Wars Rebels and The Clone Wars maestro Dave Filoni teased that Ahsoka might not actually be dead.

On Christmas, Filoni tweeted, “Was thinking of all of you this fine morning, Happy Holidays! – Dave”

He included a photo of Ahsoka chatting up Gandalf from Lord of the Rings. Gandalf tells Ahsoka, “People thought I was dead, too. Look how that turned out…”

Rumor: Disney and Lucasfilm Developing Sequel to Star Wars Rebels Starring Ahsoka Tano

Given Filoni’s tweet, it seems rather unclear whether Ahsoka has actually died by the events of The Rise of Skywalker.

To add to Filoni’s hopeful message, a number of rumors have been running rampant the past few weeks indicating that Lucasfilm and Disney are working on a Star Wars Rebels sequel that will feature Ahsoka Tano teaming up with Sabine Wren to try and locate Ezra Bridger.
