#SaveTheTick Launched After Amazon Cancels The Tick After Two Seasons
Amazon canceled The Tick after two seasons according to series creator Ben Edlund.
Edlund wrote on Twitter, “I’m sorry to say Amazon has chosen not to proceed with The Tick TV. I’m not sorry to say I love this show, its cast, its story, and its message. Destiny demands that my compatriots and I now seek a new home for this series.”

Edlund would go on to thank fans who enjoyed and loved the show. He specifically thanked #LunaTicks and the #LunaTickArmy. He also noted, “We want to find a place to make more. That is the mission now and we are on it.”
Meanwhile thank u from my heart’s bottom to all the fans who’ve shared their love with us and the show. Thank you sweet #LunaTicks and #LunaTickArmy for your militant affection 🙂 We want to find a place to make more. That is the mission now and we are on it.

He spoke to Den of Geek about his plans for a third season:
“I would put forward that we would go forward in time, and we would catch up with them after they’ve been at it for a while. I think that that would allow us to kind of let the last level of like, the coral reef, join the party. And really, at that point, it could really feel like the live action version is embracing the inventiveness that we were able to achieve in the comic book. More fun by a factor of 6.”
Ben Edlund’s call to find a new home for The Tick saw fans rally in order to save the show under #SaveTheTick.
Actor Griffin Newman, who plays Arthur Everest updated fans, “Our show is very much still alive at this moment! We’re all still under contract, and actively trying to find a new place to keep the show going! Fan demand is really what has the power to push us over the edge right now, so please be loud!”

Newman even reached out to Guillermo del Toro to help them in saving the show.
Hey @RealGDT!
Remember when you told me that you watch and love @TheTickTV?
Remember when you helped save BROOKLYN 99 through a Twitter campaign?
We need your help.#SaveTheTick

Actor John Hodgman would also weigh in, “This is no fun. Thank you for everything (so far) Ben.”

The Tick writer Susan Hurwitz Arneson championed the show finding a new home.
Yes, citizens, it’s sadly true. #TheTickTV is no more at Amazon. But we fight on because we LOVE this show & believe it deserves a new home. It is our Destiny to keep telling these stories of joy, love, compassion and lobsters. We fight on! #SaveTheTick #LunaTicks #LunaTickArmy https://t.co/7oAb5p4UQK

A number of fans asked Netflix to pick up the show.
Hey @netflix – this show has a loyal fanbase and it’s darn good television. A tonic for the era we’re in. Get on this and while we’re at it let’s get an Arthur figure from @OriginalFunko . #SaveTheTick https://t.co/aH0ccXSQq8

We have to save this wonderful superhero show #SaveTheTick and move to @Netflix of @Hulu https://t.co/nEVIVUZPg9

.@hulu @netflix please #SaveTheTick because it contains the phrase “to go mano a monomyth with the darkness” and that is the single most genius piece of wordplay I’ve ever heard

Others asked for Amazon Prime to renew the show for a third season.
How the hell does #TheTick get canceled?!? At very least this version got 2 seasons, but they were just getting warmed up. This show was so good😭
Come on @amazon @PrimeVideo there has to be room in the budget for another season, your not exactly going broke. #SaveTheTick pic.twitter.com/sQabG0zlnJ— Nathan Kroll (@LetsJustBeFoes) May 16, 2019
No matter how long the queue, a 3rd season of @TheTickTV will be worth the wait! Help save the show! Tweet/retweet #SaveTheTick to @PrimeVideo @SPTV @AmazonStudios and maybe some other streaming platforms like @AppleTV pic.twitter.com/DOHSI1gL0w

Dear @PrimeVideo,
I know the streaming landscape is competitive and it’s tough to stand out with so many shows out there.
This is exactly why @TheTickTV is so important, few shows can make me smile, give me thrills and open up a conversation about mental illness #SaveTheTick

The Tick is just the kind of happy, absurd, heroic tv we need at the moment…please renew for Season 3! #SaveTheTick @sptv @TheTickTV @AmazonStudios pic.twitter.com/tEKLC2huos

Others just expressed their support for the show and indicated they wanted to see it continue.
The Tick is a great show. It’s such a special kind of comedy that is truly ONLY it’s own that it’s STILL ahead of its time. Fucking #SaveTheTick !!! https://t.co/JWYgXvlIV9

So he says to me, “@PrimeVideo cancels @TheTickTV! You wanna save it, right?!” And I go, “Yeah, baby, yeah! What do I gotta do?!” He says, “You got Twitter! Tweet #SaveTheTick!” And I go, “Yeah, baby! ‘Cause I’m the Modest Midday Tweeter What Tweets at Midday! AH HA HA HA HAA!” pic.twitter.com/dA0LqbMapm

This is the worst news so come on people help #SaveTheTick this show is too genius and original to be lost. Plus we still don’t know where the Tick came from and I neeeed to know. pic.twitter.com/yODwtG1IUY

Look, we’ve got a million massive blockbuster superhero things out there these days, but nothing else is doing what The Tick is doing. I would really like to see more of this weird, delightful show #SaveTheTick https://t.co/Ivq8J5j75g

I don’t typically participate in campaigns for trying to save TV shows, because often networks don’t listen or care about what their viewers want. The landscape is different now, and this show is too good to let go if it now. #SaveTheTick https://t.co/lWaXF7Ajv8

I will beat someone at @amazon if I have to… why cancel such a great show? #SaveTheTick pic.twitter.com/FIPM5XrfnH
