Batman and Dumbo actor Michael Keaton recently took to social media where he called on President Donald Trump to resign from office.
Keaton posted a photo of a newspaper clipping of Donald Trump from The New York Times to Instagram where he wrote, “Look, I’ve said this before. I’ll say it calmly again. I am(and I feel we all should be) over the screaming, ranting etc over trump who is what many call the president.”
“It’s crystal clear it was a fluke and unfortunately a terrible mistake. There are moments when I honestly feel sorry for him. OK, maybe not MOMENTS but seconds. It’s reached the point where it just pathetic,” he continued.
Keaton then claims that President Trump is unfit to be President, “As I’ve said before-pick the phrase “over his head” “lost” “incapable.” Doesn’t matter. He just can’t do it. He is so obviously unfit.
He truly blew a chance. HE DOESN’T HAVE THE STUFF.”
Keaton then calls for President Trump to resign from office, “The job is a tough one and he honestly thinks he can fake his way through it. Resign. No harm. No foul. Walk away.”
He then claims that if President Trump does indeed resign it would patriotic and that he would send him a note thanking him. Keaton wrote, “Would be very patriotic and I would personally write a note thanking him.”
Finally, Keaton concluded claiming that democracy is on the line, “I swear I’m not being condescending. It’s just the truth. It’s now or never folks. Democracy is honestly and literally in question. That’s not being dramatic. Just a fact.”
Keaton is no stranger when it comes to criticizing President Donald Trump. Back in April, Keaton posted a photo of Donald Trump to his Instagram where he called for him to “get out of the way.”
Keaton wrote, “Please. I swear. I’m not even hating or yelling. Just, please get out of the way. No one will get mad. Please. Move out of the way. Please.”
In January 2017 the Dumbo actor claimed President Trump was “handing ISIS ANOTHER recruiting tool.”
He would also write, “Sometimes I feel kind of sorry for Trump. He’s got a serious personality disorder-serious because of how it effects all of us.”
In November 2017 he would also describe President Trump as a liar.
In May 2017 he described the President as an “insecure child.”
He went on to say that he “is disturbed and dangerous” and that “he has to go.”
Interestingly, just days before he wrote, “Time to quit wasting energy on Trump. Focus on issues and cowardly Congress.”
Keaton has also described President Trump as “unscrupulous and dishonest.”
On one occasion he claimed “The Trump world mentality helps fertilize anti Semitism.
As for Keaton’s acting career, it was recently confirmed that he will reprise his role as Batman in the upcoming The Flash movie alongside Ben Affleck, who will always play Batman.
There are also rumors that Keaton’s Batman could be featured in a Batman Beyond film as well.
There’s also heavy speculation that his character of Adrian Toomes aka Vulture will show up in the Morbius. Keaton did appear in the trailer for the film dressed similar to Adrian Toomes from Spider-Man: Homecoming.
