James Woods Calls For President Joe Biden’s Resignation After Tragic Bombing Outside Kabul Airport

Hollywood actor James Woods has recently called for the resignation of President Joe Biden, following the tragic bombing at Kabul International Airport in Afghanistan, in which members of the U.S. Marine Corps were confirmed to have lost their lives.

President Biden has been heavily criticised for the handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal of American troops, and Woods is one of the few Hollywood celebrities to share his opinions on social media.

“As Americans are slaughtered by terrorist savages…” wrote the actor, adding the #BidenMustResign hashtag.

Woods also shared an image that sees Biden walking away after a press conference in which the president opted not to take any questions from reporters.

This was actually the third time that the 46th President of the United States walked away from the podium, without taking questions from the media, since the failed withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan.

The Biden administration’s poor handling of the withdrawal, plus the suicide bombing at the the Kabul international airport in Afghanistan and the Baron Hotel, has prompted members of the Republican Party to call for the president’s impeachment.

James Woods retweeted an article published by Fox News, where it was revealed that several GOP congressmen and congressional candidates were calling for either the resignation or impeachment of Joe Biden after the attacks near Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Woods doubled down on his stance, writing, “These are not the times for a teleprompter presidency. Going forward America needs a leader, and Joe Biden is not that person.”

He added the #BidenMustGo hashtag, and shared the same image of Biden exiting the podium without taking questions from the media.

In yet another follow-up tweet, the renowned Hollywood actor shared an image of Joe Biden from a more recent press conference in which he did take questions from the press, where the president is seen overwhelmed by one of the questions he was asked.

In this particular tweet, James Woods wrote “Enough is enough,” whilst also adding the #JoesGottaGo hashtag, and thus reinforcing his stance on the resignation of President Biden.

Not only did the actor criticise Joe Biden, Woods implied that even if Biden steps down his direct replacement in Vice President Kamala Harris isn’t really an improvement.

The actor tweeted, “When your pitcher has just given up six runs and you look over in the bullpen…” The tweet was accompanied by an animated gif of the Vice President’s now-notorious cackle.

When approached by reporters, who asked her about the chaos ensuing Afghanistan these past few weeks, Kamala Harris let out her infamous laugh before addressing the question she was asked.

Considering that Harris had remained silent since the crisis in Afghanistan broke out, coupled with her tone-deaf response to the legitimate questions asked by the reporters, may be one of the many reasons why the Vice President is being heavily criticised by the media.

Things took a turn for the worse when it was revealed that U.S. officials had given the Taliban “a list of names of American citizens, green card holders and Afghan allies to grant entry into the militant-controlled outer perimeter of the city’s airport.”

As per Politico, this move was “designed to expedite the evacuation of tens of thousands of people from Afghanistan as chaos erupted in Afghanistan’s capital city last week after the Taliban seized control of the country.”

The political journalism outlet further addsed that this particular move came “as the Biden administration has been relying on the Taliban for security outside the airport.”

James Woods also criticised the Biden administration’s decision to give the Taliban the aforementioned list.

“Giving a list of the names of our allies to our terrorist enemies is outright treason,” wrote Woods on Twitter, adding, “If we had a commander-in-Chief, he would take responsibility for this.”

“Sadly we have a broken political hack wandering the halls of the White House in a stupor,” the actor continued, whilst also adding the #BidenMustResign hashtag.

The official U.S. Marines Twitter account confirmed, via the Department of Defense, 13 service members were killed whilst supporting Operation Freedom’s Sentinel. “They died Aug. 26, 2021, as the result of an enemy attack while supporting non-combatant evacuation operations in Kabul, #Afghanistan.”

“The Marine Corps mourns the loss of these 11 Marines, and joins in the @USNavy and @USArmy in mourning our teammates Navy Hospitalman Maxton W. Soviak, 22, of Berlin Heights, Ohio, and Army Staff Sgt. Ryan C. Knauss, 23, of Corryton, Tennessee,” read a follow-up tweet.

“These fallen heroes answered the call to go into harm’s way to do the honorable work of helping others. We are proud of their service and deeply saddened by their loss,” read a statement by the 38th Commandant of the United States Marine Corps David H. Berger.

Expressing his condolences for the U.S Navy and U.S. Army soldiers, and the 11 Marine Corps members that died in the line of duty, James Woods tweeted a commemorative image and wrote, “Too much to bear. God bless them.”

The U.S. Marines Twitter account shared the official image this Sunday afternoon, writing, “Flag-draped transfer cases line the inside of a C-17 Globemaster II Aug. 29, 2021, prior to a dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware.”

It continued, “The fallen service members died while supporting non-combat operations in Kabul,” concluding with an emotional “Gone, but never forgotten.”
