Rainbow Is Magic Event Returns To ‘Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege’
Ubisoft have once again launched the Rainbow is Magic event in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege for April Fools’ Day.
The Rainbow is Magic event previously ran in 2019, making its return in 2021 for the Crimson Heist expansion. Originally, most available operators looked like plastic army men toys, with Smoke, Montagne, Tachanka, and Blackbeard having bright pink animal-themed outfits.
The “Bop the Teddy” game mode returns, giving the hostage a bear costume and a friendly disposition. Rather than just one team protecting their bear, this time both teams must attempt to kill the opposing team’s bear while protecting their own. Further, Operators will be split up into three archetypes — Speedy, Stronk, and Flexy — each providing different loadouts and HP.
Specifically, Speedy Archetype has the Remah Dash ability and Stun Teddy Bear grenades, Stronk has a Shield and Smoke Teddy Bear grenade, and Flexy has Adrenal Surge and Explosive Teddy Bear grenade.
It’s not just operators undergoing changes, as the Presidential Plane map also now has force-fields on its top floor, infinite respawns, and new areas to explore.
Players can earn a free Collection Pack on connecting to Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege, though will need to complete weekly challenges to earn more. The Rainbow is Magic Collections returns, along with a new drone skin in the Signature Pack, returning bundles for Blackbeard, Smoke, Montagne, Tachanka, Sledge, and Thatcher’s event costumes, and for newcomers Buck and Kaid.
These time-limited items will be available for 1680 R6 credits, or via event packs for 300 R6 Credits (or 12,500 Renown).
This year’s Rainbow is Magic event runs until April 19th. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
