Square Enix’s offerings at the presentation began with the announcement of Harvestella, a new life-simulation RPG.
In Harvestella, the land is dotted with for giant crystals known as the Seaslights which allow the world’s four seasons to change in a stable manner, albeit in a way that allows each season to grow longer and longer each year.
However, one day a fifth season suddenly appears, “Quietus,” where plants wither and people dare not leave their homes for fear of meeting the same fate.
Gameplay will see players tasked with growing and tending to their crops, making food and items, and visiting other towns and people to help uncover the cause behind the Quietus season and how to prevent it.
Players will also enter dungeons where they’ll be able to engage in action RPG-style battles against various monsters, all the while strategically flipping between jobs such as Fighter, Shadow Walker, and Mage.
The game also features concept art by Isamu Kamikokuryo (Final Fantasy XII) with music by Go Shiina (the Tales series).

Following a pair of protagonists who Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age players are sure to recognize as younger versions of Erik and Mia, Dragon Quest Treasures sees the siblings venturing to Draconia to find treasure.
As the land is filled with monsters and hard to reach places, the pair traverse Draconia by calling upon some of the nicer monsters to help them.
On the world map, players can ride on friendly monsters to move quickly, bound up cliffs, or glide through the air, while in the game’s action RPG battle system, the monsters will also help fight off other monsters and even rival treasure hunters. Gathered loot can be used to expand your home base, and further increase your menagerie of monster allies.
Dragon Quest Treasures launches December 9th for Nintendo Switch.
