Arnold Schwarzenegger Provides Update After Blindside Jump-Kick Attack
Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger provided an update to his fans after a video showed the actor getting attacked from behind during an event at the Arnold Sports Festival in South Africa.
Schwarzenegger took to Twitter where he stated, “Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot. I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat.”

He also encouraged his followers to watch a number of the Arnold Sports athletes. He specifically highlights a young man named Ludwig, who is confined to a wheelchair. However, he is still competing in archery at the Arnold Sports Festival.
Do me a favor: instead of sharing the video of the guy who wants to be famous, watch some of our @ArnoldSports athletes like this young hero proving that fitness is for everyone who deserve to be famous. They’re on my Snapchat. pic.twitter.com/EuMynJ7t1n

Schwarzenegger would reiterate that there are 90 sports present at the Arnold Sports Festival in South Africa. He added that there are 24,000 athletes of all ages and wants to “put this spotlight on them.”
We have 90 sports here in South Africa at the @ArnoldSports, and 24,000 athletes of all ages and abilities inspiring all of us to get off the couch. Let’s put this spotlight on them.

He would also show off a different angle of the attack.
And if you have to share the video (I get it), pick a blurry one without whatever he was yelling so he doesn’t get the spotlight.
By the way… block or charge? pic.twitter.com/TEmFRCZPEA

The Arnold Sports Festival began in 1989 in Columbus, Ohio. The festival primarily featured the Arnold Classic, a bodybuilding competition that has come to rival the Mr. Olympia bodybuilding title. The festival has grown over the years and expanded internationally.
In 2016, the festival expanded to South Africa. The 2019 event is taking place across four venues. The main venue is the Sandton Convention Centre. Events are also taking place at Crawford College. Country Club Johannesburg is the host of the Golf Classic, and Ten Pin Bowling takes place at the Northcliff Bowl.
Are you glad that Arnold is okay? Do you plan on tuning into the Arnold Sports Festival?
