Artist Shu Rakuro Ryugenthor’s pinup of Dragon Ball’s Android 18 sees the former villain turned ally enjoying a day at the river.

For those unfamiliar with Android 18, she made her first appearance alongside her twin brother Android 17 during the Androids Saga in Dragon Ball Z.

Specifically, she first appeared in Chapter #155 of the Dragon Ball Z manga. In the anime she first appeared in episode #133 “Nightmare Comes True.”

In her first appearance, she and her brother are activated by the villainous Dr. Gero who tasks them with killing Son Goku.

However, she and her brother quickly begin to defy Dr. Gero’s orders and Android 17 even decapitates the good doctor.

By Dragon Ball Z Chapter #157 it’s actually revealed that Android 17 and 18 are actually humans that have been enhanced with cybernetics. Specifically, they have an Infinite Energy Reactor.

In her first show of combat, Android 18 takes on Vegeta as a Super Saiyan. The two exchange blow for blow, going back and forth. In one foray Android 18 attacks with a headbutt and Vegeta counters with a gut punch.

Eventually Android 18 wears down Vegeta and is able to defeat him, knocking him out of Super Saiyan. And while Android 18 defeats Vegeta, Android 17 easily deals with the rest of the Z-fighters after Trunks attempts to intervene in the duel between Android 18 and Vegeta.

As the Androids Saga comes to a close and the Imperfect Cell Saga begins Cell reveals to Piccolo that he travelled to the past in order to absorb both Androids 17 and 18 in order to achieve his perfect form.

Cell eventually achieves his goal and does indeed absorb Androids 17 and 18. However, she is regurgitated when Gohan attains Super Saiyan 2 and overpowers Cell.

By the end of the Cell Saga, Androids 17 and 18 have their self-destruct devices removed due to a wish to the dragon Shenron from Krillin.

In fact, Android 18 would go on to marry Krillin and become part of the Z-fighters during the Majin Buu Saga. She would even have a child with Krillin named Marron.

To support her family, she enters the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament where she defeats Mighty Mask. However, in her next match she allows Mr. Satan to defeat her in her return for twice the amount of prize money that she would have gotten if she won the tournament.

She wouldn’t play a significant role until the Universe Survival Saga of Dragon Ball Super where she defeats Shosa with the aid of Krillin.

Android 18 would go on to fight Tupper, Cocotte, and Ribrianne. Her and Android 17 would also team up against both Ribrianne and Rosie.

She eventually eliminates herself from competition in her battle against Universe 3’s Anilaza. She sacrifices herself to allow Android 17 to continue to fight.

Android 18 and Android 17 would also make brief appearances during the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga. Android 18 reveals she and 17 are being employed Capsule Corporation and then proceeds to face off against Shimorekka.

While it appears Android 18 has the upper hand, the fight is called short as Moro and Saganbo arrive. Saganbo overwhelms the Z-fighters until Goku arrives in his Super Saiyan Blue form.

After Goku defeats Saganbo, Moro enters the battlefield and quickly reveals he’s no slouch. In fact, when Android 18 and Android 17 attempt to perform a surprise attack on the villain, he doesn’t even turn to face them. Instead, he just blasts them in the face with his fingers.

While Android 18’s story is still being written, artist Shu Rakuro Ryugenthor shared a pinup showing her enjoying a day by the river.

Here’s a better look.
