Classic Baldur’s Gate Characters to Star in New Dungeons & Dragons Series!
IDW Publishing is teaming with writer Jim Zub and artists Dean Kotz, Steven Cummings, Harvey Tolibao, Ramon Bachs, Francesco Mortarino for a brand new Dungeons & Dragons five-part comic book series called Dungeons & Dragons: Evil at Baldur’s Gate.
Each of the five artists will work on a separate issue of the series. And each issue will focus on one of the classic Baldur’s Gate heroes, which include Minsc, Krydle & Shandie, Delina, Nerys Kathon, and Boo.
“Dungeons & Dragons sparked a lifelong desire to create stories in me that’s never really gone away,” said writer Zub. “Dungeons & Dragons is all about exploration and engaging the unknown that lurks around every corner. I love the feeling of exploration that sword & sorcery stories provide. Evil At Baldur’s Gate is our fourth D&D mini-series with this cast and is a great way to jump on board and join in the adventure!”
Each of the Baldur’s Gate heroes will finally return to the city at last. But their adventures in Ravenloft and the northern reaches of the realm have changed them. They will face new and dangerous trials before they are finally ready to embrace their destiny.
The series will continue Jim Zub’s overall story arc from previous Dungeons & Dragons comic series. However, each issue will be self-contained. This will allow readers to jump in on any of the five issues and enjoy a fun, Dungeons & Dragons story.
Dungeons & Dragons: Evil at Baldur’s Gate comes to comic book shops in April. IDW promises there will be a miniature giant space hamster showing up in the series!
Max Dunbar will provide covers for each of the five issues.
