Black Adam Rumor: Golden Age Flash and Green Lantern Added to Justice Society

More names are being added to the list of rumored Justice Society members in the upcoming Black Adam movie.

Cosmic Book News (CBN) is saying a rumor “hit the net” that original versions of The Flash and Green Lantern are in the JSA.

They won’t be the Barry Allen and Hal Jordan most are familiar with. Instead, we are being treated to the Jay Garrick and Alan Scott incarnations from the 1940s – or so goes the rumor.

Garrick and Scott were used for a time before DC relaunched the characters in the 50s. Later, they were brought back as denizens of Earth-2. Readers will remember Scott was turned gay within the last several years.

A previous leak made it online saying the Golden Age team the Justice Society of America would be in the film and include Hawkman, Isis, Hawkgirl, Doctor Fate, Atom Smasher, and a non-CW, movie universe version of Stargirl.

Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson confirmed “JSA. We will introduce you to that, the world to JSA,” to iO9 in November.

CBN did not say what age range Warner Bros. is looking for in Garrick or Scott but we know from the Hawkgirl news they are looking for actors between 20 and 30 and upwards of 40 for the others.

Stargirl already appeared before on Smallville with Fate, Hawkman, and the JSA. She is getting her own show on DC Universe and The CW separate from film continuity.
