The pair will also be reunited with Tamaki Shiratori as Himawari, Izumi Inamori as Ibari, Naoto Takenaka as Kikujirō Eguchi, Jun Shison as Masa, Michiko Tanaka as Ōta, Junpei Yasui as Sadogashima, Yūta Furukawa as Sakai, MEGUMI as Tanaka, Kenichi Takitō as Torajirō, and Tina Tamashiro as Yukari.

Rounding out the series’ returning production members will be director Tōichirō Rutō, who previously served in the same role for the television drama.

Written and illustrated by Oono, The Way of the Househusband follows the everyday exploits of Tatsu, an infamous-but-now-retired yakuza boss who has left behind his life of crime in order to cultivate a new life with his wife, Miku.

However, Tatsu proves that you can take the yakuza out of the man, but you can’t take the yakuza out of the man.

Taking up the role of housekeeper in support of his wife’s career ambitions, the former-gangster continues to address the day-to-day problems of his new domestic life with the same intensity and ferocity he would those who reneged on a deal.

Gokushufudō (The Way of the Househusband): The Cinema is currently set for a Japanese release early this summer.
