A new rumor details that Disney and Lucasfilm will release the next Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer on Monday Night Football between the Patriots and Jets.
The rumor comes from Black Series Rebels on Twitter who write, “The trailer is coming 10/21. Take that s*** to the bank.”

Star Wars News Net adds to the rumor that the trailer will debut during the half time of the Monday Night Football game between The New England Patriots and the New York Jets on ESPN. The rumor echoes a previous one from back in September that indicated a new trailer could drop during Monday Night Football. However, that rumor indicated the trailer would drop a week earlier during the game between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers.
ABC 7 reporter George Pennacchio told his followers to “mark your calendar.” However, he notes that his source is Star Wars News Net.

Star Wars News Net also reports that tickets for the game will be available to purchase as soon as the game ends. They expect an official confirmation of the trailer on Sunday, October 20th with a possible new poster reveal.
If the trailer does drop on the 21st it would coincide with the late Carrie Fisher’s birthday.
