According to a pair of recent set photos shared by the film’s director, Steven Caple, Jr., Transformers: Rise of the Beasts looks to be shaping up to present one of the most faithful visual adaptations both the Autobots and the Terrorcons have ever had the fortune of appearing in.

Shared by Caple to his personal Instagram account on October 6th, the first of the two photos shows the director on set in Peru standing proudly amongst the bio-mechanical cast of his upcoming film, which include Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, as well as a Volkswagen Mini Bus and a silver Porsche, presumed to be Wheeljack and Mirage, respectively.
Captioning his post, Caple declared, “The squad is out.”

In the second photo, three sinister looking vehicles posed in the same Peruvian field as the Autobots, though this time Caple himself is absent from the shot.
While the exact identity of these implied villains has yet to be revealed, it is assumed that these alt-modes belong to the Terrorcons, who thus far have only had two members confirmed for appearances in the film.
To that end, it is assumed that Scourge will appear as the ‘apocalyptic’ looking semi-truck (resembling his ‘dark Optimus Prime’ inspired look from the 2001 series Robots in Disguise), while Nightbird will take on the appearance of the sleek R33 Nissan Skyline.
Set in 1994, seven years after the events of Bumblebee, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will feature both the return of the Autobots and the debut of characters from the Beast Wars series when it stampedes into theaters on June 24th, 2022.
