In honor of Disney Plus Day, Marvel and Disney have officially given audiences their first look at the upcoming She-Hulk series headed exclusively to the House of Mouse’s signature streaming service.

The trailer, included as part of Marvel’s Disney Plus Day sizzle reel, opens with Jennifer Walters, as portrayed by Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany, narrating a brief montage of her life and explaining to viewers, “I’m Jennifer Walters. I’m a normal lawyer.”

“Well, not that normal,” she then admits over a behind-the-back shot of Walters in her She-Hulk form, clad in an ‘MCU’-ified version of her classic purple-and-white costume.

Next, Walters is seen conversing with Mark Ruffalo’s Professor Hulk, who explains to his female counter-part, that their emerald “transformations are triggered by anger and fear.”

Finally, the teaser ends on a shot of Walters and another man, possibly Bruce, in what almost appears to be a retro-themed ‘commercial’, wherein the series’ star utters her cousin’s famous line, “Don’t make me angry. You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.”

It’s clear from the above footage that Disney and Marvel have opted to go with Shulkie’s classic appearance for the show, rather than her Jason Aaron-created ‘Savage She-Hulk’ look – an undoubtedly welcome decision amongst both long-time and new Marvel fans.

According to a brief synopsis provided by Marvel, She-Hulk will be a comedy series which “follows Jennifer, a lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases,” and “will welcome a host of Marvel characters to the series, including the Hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo, and the Abomination, played by Tim Roth.”

Headed to Disney+ in 2022, She-Hulk will be “written by Executive Producer Jessica Gao and directed by Executive Producer Kat Coiro and Anu Valia.”
