Ahsoka actress Rosario Dawson recently appeared at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) where she discussed the upcoming Star Wars series.

While answering questions from the audience, Dawson detailed, “I will say this. I will probably get in trouble for saying this. But Dave [Filoni] saw one of the episodes already edited together. And he walked up, him and Carrie Beck, both like glossy eyed.”

She continued, “And he said to me that it was ‘a religious experience.'”

Not only did Dawson claim Filoni described the show as “a religious experience,” but she also hinted that the series will indeed follow-up on the Grand Admiral Thrawn storyline teased during Episode 5 of The Mandalorian Season 2.

If you recall, in that episode Din Djarin teams up with Ahsoka Tano on the planet Corvus to take down the Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth. During a duel with Elsbeth, it is revealed that Tano’s purpose on the planet is to obtain the location of Grand Admiral Thrawn.

After disarming Elsbeth, Tano questions her, “Where is your master? Where is Grand Admiral Thrawn?”

When asked by another member in the audience where Grand Admiral Thrawn is, Dawson replies, “That dude, man. Incognito. Maybe we can get the Scarlet Witch to help us? She can jump down multiverses, right? Like let’s go girl! Like holla! What do I got to say?”

“I mean it’s a really big key in Mando about what my show could potentially be about. Obviously, we are really trying to track him down. So we’ll see what happens. I’m only halfway through the show so I can’t tell you. Don’t know yet,” she concluded.

The last time Grand Admiral Thrawn was seen in Disney’s Star Wars continuity was in Star Wars Rebels.

He attempted to crush the Rebel cell on Lothal  but was outmaneuvered by the Rebels when they lured a group of Purrgil to the planet that wipe out Thrawn’s Imperial fleet.

The creatures eventually come under the control of Ezra Bridger using the Force. He uses them to jump to hyperspace with Thrawn and his Imperial Star Destroyer Chimaera in tow. Where they go to is never revealed.

In fact, the episode concludes with Ahsoka arriving on Lothal following the defeat of the Empire to recruit Sabine to look for Ezra Bridger.

What do you make of Filoni allegedly telling Rosario that at least one episode of Ahsoka is “a religious experience?”
