A new rumor details that Dave Filoni will be working on an upcoming Star Wars Rebels sequel.
The rumor comes from Corey Van Dyke of the Kessel Run Transmissions YouTube channel.
Van Dyke details that not only will Filoni be on board the show, but it will also star Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren.
He adds, that the show will be on Disney Plus and is expected to drop on the streaming service some time in November 2020.
Finally, he did detail that he had not received any information on whether the show would also feature Ezra Bridger or Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Van Dyke and his Kessel Run Transmissions co-host Noah Outlaw previously detailed that Disney and Lucasfilm had a Star Wars Rebels sequels series in development featuring Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren. They also reported that it was set for a 2020 release date.
At the time of their initial reporting they only speculated that Filoni would be on board.

Outlaw would follow up their initial reporting that the series would be arriving sometime in November 2020.
However, a separate rumor was posted to the StarWarsLeaks subreddit by user TheThrowAwayEwok.
That rumor detailed the series would primarily be focused on Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn and set in the Unknown Regions with much of the series centered around the Chiss home planet of Csilla.

Thrawn and Bridger would become unlikely allies as the Chriss Ascendancy warred with Grysk.
The rumor also indicated the show would introduce “the last remaining member of the Rakata species” as well as Thrawn’s niece, who acts as a navigator for the Chiss due to her Force sensitivity.
Following the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which featured Ahsoka Tano encouraging Rey to stand up and fight Emperor Palpatine, Dave Filoni took to Twitter to quell fans who believed the character died in between the events of Star Wars Rebels and The Rise of Skywalker.
Filoni posted an image of Lord of the Ring’s Gandalf telling Ahsoka, “People thought I was dead, too. Look how that turned out…”
Was thinking of all of you this fine morning, Happy Holidays!

The image definitely indicates that Filoni, Lucasfilm, and Disney has more plans for Ahsoka. And it’s possible it could be hinting at her story continuing in a sequel series to Star Wars Rebels.
Ahsoka’s story ended on a cliffhanger at the end of Star Wars Rebels as she arrived on Lothal to recruit Sabine Wren in a quest to discover the whereabouts over their missing friend, Ezra Bridger.
In fact, Ahsoka is uncannily dressed as Gandalf the White when she arrives on Lothal.
