Jason Momoa Apologizes to Chris Pratt For His Badly Received Criticism of Pratt’s Water Bottle

Earlier this week Aquaman star Jason Momoa put fellow The Lego Movie 2 co-star Chris Pratt on blast for using a single-use water bottle.

The bottle was spotted on an Instagram post where the Guardians of the Galaxy star announced a partnership with Amazon where he posed in a gym photo.

Momoa took to the comments section and said “bro i love u but wtf on the water bottle. no single use plastic. come on.”

In a reply to his Lego co-star, Pratt took the criticism in jest and even referenced Momoa’s role as Aquaman:

“Aquaman! you’re completely right. Dammit! I always carry my big gallon size reusable water jug with me too. I even had it that day!!! If I remember correctly somebody threw that plastic bottle to me in the photo shoot cause I didn’t know what to do with my hands. My bad. I don’t want your home of Atlantis covered in plastic. Hear that kids? Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.”

Some folks on social media weren’t really happy with Momoa’s swipe at Pratt and they pointed out that Momoa has used plastic water bottles multiple times.

Jason Momoa would later backtrack from his criticism. He admitted that his comment was “badly” received and explained on how Pratt was an inspiration to him.

Momoa would write:

“BRO you know my children and I are madly in love with you and I love everything you do. I’m sorry this was received so badly today I didn’t mean for that to happen.”

He added:

“I’m just very passionate about this single use plastic epidemic. the plastic water bottles have to stop i hope u make a reusable water bottle for amazon so we all can purchase.”

Momoa concluded by offering to send Pratt a case of Mananalu, which is his brand of drinking water that is packaged in aluminum cans.

“You’re an inspiration to many I’m one of them. I’ll send you a case of MANANALU. All my Aloha, Da Momoa’s.”
