With the new Ghostbusters: Afterlife trailer, the Ghostbusters franchise will return to theaters following the poor showing of the Ghostbusters 2016 film.

The new film will be a sequel to the classic 80s franchise that was created by comedy legends Dan Aykroyd and the late Harold Ramis.

The two 80s movies had a standout cast of amazing actors such as Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, Rick Moranis and of course the one and only Bill Murry not to mention Aykroyd and Ramis.

The Ghostbusters would go on to save New York City from the paranormal in two epic films that saw them not only fight the supernatural but the government in the form of the villainous Walter Peck.

But let’s get going with today’s Cosplay!

Today’s cosplay of the day is from Charlotte aka Purplemuffinz, who specializes in latex outfits, with her take on a Ghostbuster Janine Melnitz.

Utilizing her skills in latex costume making PurpleMuffinz is both a talent creator and an alt-model who hails from England. She’s been cosplaying since 2012 where she has also made costumes such as a gender-bend Nightwing and Lara Croft.

As you can see with Purplemuffinz’s piece she not only creates a latex costume that pays homage to the two 1980s movie but gives it a sexy retro spin.

Also included is a proton-pack which as many fans know is a necessary tool in order to subdue ghosts before you can catch them in the special containment trap designed by Egon Spengler in the movies.

Lastly, to match her cherry-red hair Purplemuffinz has a pair of red high heel shoes to complete the outfit and look.

She even adds to the cosplay with a defeated Stay Puff Marshmallow Man, the  giant and troublesome monster the team in the first movie had to fight while attempting to save the city from Gozer, an apocalyptic creature who wanted to rain chaos and destruction all over Earth.
