The team behind Godzilla Singular Point has recently revealed a bevy of new information surrounding the upcoming anime series, including its theme song artist, Netflix premiere date, and a new key visual.
The key visual, featuring a smattering of main characters and monsters, was shared to both the Godzilla Singular Point official website and the series’ official Twitter page.
The full view of the key visual can be seen below:
Alongside the key visual, the Twitter post also contains some news about when Godzilla Singular Point will air in Japan, noting that the series is set to premiere on Netflix Japan on March 25th and will be broadcast “every Thursday” across TOKYO MX, KBS Kyoto, BS11, and Sun T beginning on April 1st.
The Godzilla Singular Point Twitter account then shared the news that the series’ opening theme song would be an ‘In case…’, a new and original song from Japanese idol group BiSH (otherwise known as Brand-new idol S–T).
Following the announcement, BiSH member Cent Chihiro Chicchi issued a statement expressing her excitement and adoration for Godzilla. “BiSH will perform the opening theme for ‘Godzilla Singularity Point.’ I am very happy, and I feel it means a lot to us,” she said.
“I’ve loved ‘Godzilla’ since I was a little girl because it gave me an excitement of the unknown,” she added. “Using the thoughts of young people to develop, we want to deliver music to this story, which is moving into a new era with the passion of the strongest production team.”
Cent concluded, “BiSH wants to overturn the irresistible future together. Thank you.”
This latest batch of information is but the most recent information related to Godzilla Singular Point dropped in a relatively short span of time, as earlier in February, the series released a full-view of their new Studio Ghibli-created Godzilla design.
