Some social media posts by Man of Steel actress Antje Traue lead people to believe she will return to Zod’s lieutenant Faora in The Flash movie in some capacity.
The speculation started when an Instagram post showing Traue going back to the short hair of her days as a Kryptonian was liked by Flash director Andy Muschietti, almost as if they are working together.
Será que a Faora estará em #TheFlash?
No IG, a atriz Antje Traue revelou que estava gravando algum projeto no Reino Unido e teve inclusive que voltar a ficar de cabelo curto.

“Will Faora be in #TheFlash?” asked Twitter account DCVERSO in a translation of their post sharing screenshots. “At IG, actress Antje Traue revealed that she was recording a project in the UK and even had to go back to having short hair.”
And, of course, they add the outstanding detail, “And Andy Muschietti liked her photo.” But that’s not all as she was spotted in England where The Flash has been filming for the last several months.
What’s more, Traue seemed to tease a return back in 2019 with another Instagram post of herself where she said, “In pain #throwback #manofsteel #training #faora.”
One curious fan asked her in the comments, “Are you going to come back, or is that a TBT?” She took the time to answer back with “Working on it.”
It’s still not clear what she means by that. She could be in The Flash or she could be reaffirming hope that Man of Steel 2 is in development. No one is totally sure about the latter so if it’s that, Traue may just be trying to keep the hope alive.
However, if she’s really going to show up in The Flash then that proposed eventuality is not beyond the realm of possibility. Faora didn’t die at the end of Man of Steel like Zod. She was dragged into The Phantom Zone with the rest of his crew after Superman destroyed their ship.
Barry could set her free by breaking the boundaries of reality or he might run into an alternate version of her from another timeline or Earth.
Another possibility is Traue plays a new and completely different character who has little more than a few minutes of screen time. If this is the case, we can forget about her throwing down with Supes (who is probably not in Flash at all, unfortunately) or any other heroes.
Would you be excited to see Antje Traue again leaping tall buildings as Krypton’s last and only bad girl, Faora? Let us know in the comments.
