Marvel star Mark Ruffalo has taken to social media to baselessly accuse Republicans and Donald Trump supporters of inciting “political and social violence” following a recent shooting in New Mexico.

On Thursday the 28th of September, a 23-year-old man identified as Ryan Martinez was arrested in New Mexico after “allegedly shooting a demonstrator at a protest over plans to reinstall a statue of a Spanish conquistador in the north of the state,” Reuters reports.

Issuing a statement following the event, Mateo Peixinho, one of the protest’s organisers, revealed that the man wounded is Seattle-native Jacob Johns, a 42-year-old Native American climate activist, and was in critical condition at University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque.

“We strongly believe this fits the definition of a hate crime and domestic terrorism due to the fact that he was wearing a MAGA hat and displaying instigating behavior all morning,” Peixinho further declared.

Being the political activist that he is, Ruffalo vented his grievances in a post shared on X — blaming the Republican Party and Donald Trump supporters of inciting acts of violence such as the one that took place last week in New Mexico.

“This is the real life outcome of Trumpism and the proliferation of calls for political and social violence from Republican leadership and the extremist wing of the party,” wrote the insufferably woke actor on X, adding, “Time to really take stock and start to come to terms with this reality.”

Without providing any evidence, whatsoever, to support his ludicrous claim, Ruffalo accused, “They are intent that blood is spilled on our nation’s soil and that blood is of fellow Americans. Take Trump and his followers at their word.”

“They want to kill Americans. Fascism is stalking the land,” he concluded, sharing a link to Source New Mexico’s reporting of the news, and a link to the GoFundMe campaign to help Johns recover from his wounds in a subsequent post.

Several X users responded to Ruffalo’s unfounded accusations, pointing out his hypocrisy and bringing attention to tragic news that the woke Marvel star failed to condemn.

“Mark- this is 100% untrue and you sir are fear mongering because it’s the only way lefties win,” wrote @hatch_shane, adding, “Fear is only overcome by actually understanding real truth and by pure love.”

He went on, “You sir are either completely in the dark or are lying,” before concluding, “The only Fascism I’ve seen is coming from the elite leftists!”

Pointing out that Democrat-run cities hold the record for the highest number of homicides in the United States, @hi808sun wrote, “Mark, are you aware that there were 26,000+ homicides in 2021. (CDC).”

“The highest homicide rates are in Chicago and DC,” the user concluded. Effectively, a report earlier this year named Chicago a murder capital with over 697 criminal homicides in 2022.

“Stick this up your lying a—, Ruffalo,” wrote actor and director Nick Searcy, sharing the story of Cayler Ellingson, an 18-year-old man who was murdered by 42-year-old Shannon Brandt last year in what was initially believed to be a politically driven hit-and-run crime.

Another user brought attention to the tragic news ignored by Ruffalo, noting, “Do you know who Cayler Ellingson is? No? What a pity.”

This wouldn’t be the first time Ruffalo would turn a blind eye to empirical evidence as long as it suits his own woke narrative.

In November of 2021, after Kyle Rittenhouse had been acquitted of all charges he was facing for the Kenosha shooting, the elitist actor mourned the lives of Rittenhouse’s attackers; felon Anthony Huber and serial pedophile and rapist Joseph Rosenbaum — whom he lovingly referred to as “JoJo.”

“We come together to mourn the lives lost to the same racist system that devalues Black lives and devalued the lives of Anthony and JoJo,” Ruffalo declared at the time, as if oblivious of Huber and Rosenbaum’s criminal pasts.

Unsurprisingly, on several occasions Ruffalo himself has called for social and political violence in the past, further exposing his own hypocritical talking points. Whether he is aware of the fact or not is a topic for debate, however.

“The Supreme Court has become a political tool for the extremist, Fascist faction of the GOP,” wrote the woke actor following the Supreme Court’s decision to curb the Environmental Protection Agency’s power to limit greenhouse gas emissions last year.

He continued, “Gun violence, subjugation of women, climate catastrophe, and political capitalism is their brand. We are facing an attack from within,” further encouraging, “We must revolt.”

Just a few days earlier, Ruffalo called for violence against Republicans, whom he tastelessly referred to as “The American Taliban,” as the right-wing political party was gaining momentum on the generic congressional ballot to retake control of the House of Representatives in June of 2022.

“Time to fight like hell in any way you know how,” Ruffalo unashamedly provoked. “The American Taliban has taken over the Supreme Court.”
