Hollywood Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. Named In Rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Sexual Assault Case
Academy Award-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. — best known for his roles in such films as Jerry Maguire and Boyz n the Hood — has been named in the lawsuit regarding rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sexual assault case.
Music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones raised allegations against Combs, filing a $30 million legal suit in New York’s federal court on Monday the 26th of February, claiming that the rapper not only sexually assaulted him but also forced him to perform sex acts with prostitutes.
Jones, who had reportedly lived for extended periods of time with Combs, produced the rapper’s latest studio album, The Love Album: Off the Grid. According to legal documents obtained by Fox News Digital, the music producer claimed Combs groped him and sexually touched him in the anus on several occasions.
Besides the sexual misconduct allegations raised by the producer, Jones also reportedly described several instances of inappropriate working conditions. Combs’ lawyer Shawn Holley dismissed the allegations, accusing that Jones’ attorney Tyrone Blackburn had “ignored” any attempts to share proof that could potentially invalidate the claims levied against the rapper.
Per more recent legal documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Combs’ producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones added Gooding Jr. to his sexual assault lawsuit on Monday, accusing the Oscar-winning actor of “sexually harassing and assaulting” him.
According to Jones’ suit, the Gooding began “touching, groping, and fondling” him during a party in the U.S. Virgin Islands in January of 2023, noting that this event took place on a yacht that Combs had reportedly rented.
The lawsuit reads, “According to Mr. Jones, he was extremely uncomfortable and proceeded to lean away from Mr. Gooding Jr.,” adding, that the music producer “rejected his advances and Mr. Gooding Jr. did not stop until Mr. Jones forcibly pushed him away.”
“As the owner of the property, Mr. Combs had a duty to protect Mr. Jones from the harm he suffered at the hands of Cuba Gooding Jr,” the legal document continued. “Mr. Combs breached his duty when he failed to stop Cuba Gooding Jr. from sexually assaulting Mr. Jones.”
Neither Gooding Jr. nor Jones’ representatives responded to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
In 2019, the Oscar-winning actor was arrested for allegedly groping a woman’s breasts without her consent. In an effort to avoid jail time, Gooding Jr. pleaded guilty in April of 2022.
Gooding Jr. was set to appear in court on the 6th of June, 2023, but a settlement between the Jerry Maguire actor and his rape accuser, an anonymous woman seeking $6 million in damages, was reached — with both parties filing a court document on the same day the trial was expected to begin.
