New intel from a recent screening suggests The Flash indeed has a post-credit scene in which the Snyderverse Batman survives and it has huge implications for that corner of the DCEU.

This information comes from Syl Abdul of YouTube’s ScoopCenter and Geekosity by way of the site and its EIC Mikey Sutton’s inside sources – apart, it should be stressed, from a related Reddit leak that hasn’t been verified.

In the scene, Batfleck finds himself thrown into the future where he summons the Flash of his reality to “find us.” Abdul’s source didn’t specify but Sutton says Affleck lands in the Knightmare world and the stinger is supposed to set up Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2 as the film is still happening.

All signs pointed to Affleck leaving the role and super franchises altogether originally but Sutton claims that changed and a proposed scene in which his Dark Knight is killed off was scrapped.

As for why Affleck quit so publicly, Sutton believes the actor is engaging in a basic negotiation ploy. He is holding out for more money and using whatever leverage he has to get it.

Sutton adds Affleck doesn’t really want to leave until he’s put his stamp on the Bat and that he wants go out on his own terms – which is a positive hint he still wants to make his Batman solo movie and probably will get to.

However, it’s not looking like he will direct it. That honor may go to Zack Snyder according to Sutton and his source as Snyder’s vision is the only one Affleck reportedly trusts. The only thing they are waiting on is for Snyder to get done with his projects at Netflix.

Deathstroke remains the main threat of Affleck’s Batman movie, Sutton also claims, in order to give him the physical struggle the character lacks in most cinematic appearances outside Bane and Ra’s al-Ghul in the Dark Knight Trilogy.

Jared Leto may be on board too so his Joker can have a final showdown that isn’t in a flashback or Knightmare induced. His cameo in ZSJL was no accident and Snyder is rumored to want him back for more when they open up shop at HBO Max.

Additionally, Snyder will allegedly have more creative control and replace Walter Hamada whom they say is out as DC Films President when Discovery takes over.
