Back in November 2020 pop-culture news outlet Popdust called on Disney to fire Gina Carano for her political views, which the outlet described as “wrong-headed and dangerously ignorant.”

The outlet’s writer Keith Baldwin further added, “As long as she wants to use her platform to spread ignorant and dangerous views, her voice shouldn’t be amplified by a Disney seal of approval or the suggestion that she’s buddies with beloved Baby Yoday.”

Popdust and their writer Keith Baldwin would not be the only ones to describe Carano’s social media posts and her personal beliefs as dangerous.

Eric Eilersen, the co-host of The Living Force Podcast tweeted in November 2020, “This may be a minefield, but giving the same weight to Gina Carano and Rosario Dawson is dangerous.”

He added, “G consistently promotes bigotry, dangerous ignorance, and medical disinformation. R has called one lawsuit “baseless,” and has supported LGBTQ+ folks and countless others.”

The Wired’s Senior Correspondent Adam Rogers in response to a tweet to Texas Senator Ted Cruzz tweeted back in February 2021, “The senator is wrong about a lot here, but foremost: He’s describing the character Cara Dune.”

He added, “Gina Carano is an actress who played her on a TV show, and in real life said a lot of offensive and dangerous things in public.”

Twitter user JeromeM94Movies reacted to an Instagram Story post from Gina Carano warning about hating your neighbors that eventually led to her firing from Lucasfilm.

The user tweeted, “Gina Carano needs to go, s*** like this is dangerous and complete bs. Jewish people were literally gassed for existing. Conservatives (don’t mean all) are literally crying on Twitter because they get called out on their BS. Not comparable at all. #FireGinaCarano.”

Twitter user GeneralSecura also tweeted, “At this point if you still support or even /tolerate/ gina carano i’m hard blocking on you sight. she’s done so many harmful and dangerous things that she shouldn’t be allowed a platform this big anymore because there are people who will listen to every word she says without ++.”

After Carano announced she would be working with Ben Shapiro and The Daily Wire to produce a new film after she was heinously fired by Disney and Lucasfilm numerous individuals described Carano’s beliefs and social media posts expressing them as “dangerous.”

Twitter user Auldgrumpytits wrote, “You weren’t fired for “being a conservative. You were fired, because as a human being, you’re engaging in the spread of dangerous conspiracies and hateful rhetoric. You embarrassed/horrified your colleagues and the company you worked for. And I was rooting for you too. Oh well.”

Not only has Carano had her social media posts labelled as dangerous, but Twitter has also slapped warning labels on Carano’s tweets claiming they are misleading.

You can see one of those labels on a recent post she made at the beginning of October.

Carano has responded to all of these critics and more.

On October 27th, she posted an image that reads, “‘Your posts are dangerous!’ ‘oh?…like, dangerous enough to cause blood clots?'”

The reference to blood clots is an adverse reaction to the Covid-19 vaccines that a number of people have experienced.

CNBC reported back in May, “CDC scientists say their investigation into a rare blood clotting issue linked to the J&J Covid-19 vaccine has identified 28 cases.” They also reported that three people died from blood clots that were linked to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Most recently Public Health Insider reported that a woman in King County died on September 7, 2021 after receiving the vaccine on August 26th. The cause of death was thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome that causes blood clots.

What do you make of Carano’s response to her critics describing her social media posts as “dangerous.”
