As previously announced, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind director Takahiro Kamei will direct the series under supervision of fellow Golden Wind directors Hideya Takahashi and Yasuhiro Kimura.
Additionally, Urusei Yatsura will feature script supervision from Digimon Adventure tri. screenplay writer Yuuko Kakihara, as well as character design from Naoyuki Asano, who previously served in the role for the recent reboot of Mr. Osmatsu.
First beginning publication in 1978, Urusei Yatsura follows the everyday exploits of Ataru, an average Earth male, and Lum, the princess of an alien race known as Oni, after a series of events leads the latter to believe the two are married.
A sensation in Japan, the series found worldwide popularity with the creation of its first anime adaptation in 1981, which ran for a total of 195 episodes across the following five years.
