The Flash is finally gathering the character’s trademark speed in its race to theaters that has been several years in the making.

IT director Andy Muschietti and Birds of Prey writer Christina Hodson turned out to be the winning team at finally getting the project in motion and they’re taking the opportunity to throw everything they have at the screen.
As the film is based loosely on Flashpoint, it will heavily draw upon the multiverse principle to justify a load of cameos and guest stars – the most high-brow of which is Michael Keaton, reprising his legendary portrayal of Batman after 30 years.
Ben Affleck will be around in the cape too but many believe this will be the Oscar winner’s last hurrah in the Snyderverse, to a bitter and fatal end, no less.
However, there is a silver lining for the rest of the Snyderverse so, despite rumors it’s being erased, don’t count out entirely the rest of what the zombie movie extraordinaire, Zack Snyder, created back in 2013 when he began with Man of Steel.
Screen Geek reports the rumored cameos by Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa as Aquaman are set for The Flash though they are exactly what a cameo denotes – brief appearances that won’t reflect DC’s pivotal Flashpoint crossover.
Gadot appeared to confirm her role when she shared a video recapping her 2021.
In the video, she shared two photos of herself showing her in a makeup chair that appear to be on the set of The Flash.
In the original tale that reset the DC universe, Arthur Curry and the Atlanteans were at war with Diana and the Amazons – and that conflagration consumed the world unto the brink of destruction.
Nothing like that takes place in the upcoming film version, or so we heard some time ago, but other reports are predicting a seismic shift that brings all the infinite DC Earths of cinema’s past together and causes Barry to form a new Justice League.
One of those reports comes from ComicBookMovie and tipster @MyTimetoShineH and also claims Shazam is joining the League and Supergirl (Sasha Calle) will replace Superman as the DCEU’s resident Kryptonian of Steel.
That would mean Henry Cavill is gone after The Flash, and there is potential that Snyder’s movies get “erased,” but you can relax and file everything under “rumor” until we see Muschietti’s film first.
Whether or not an erasure does happen, the Snyderverse is going to be out in full force for The Flash, and judging by the Peacemaker finale, Jason Momoa’s presence is virtually certain.
