With its recent delay, The Batman 2 has a chance to get its affairs in order, such as its cast and the script. There aren’t many updates about the latter, but a new rumor is flying around about a character potentially a part of it.
Before The Batman’s release, there were rumblings Harvey Dent would appear in the Matt Reeves film series. He’d also become Two-Face as he did when he was played by Tommy Lee Jones and Aaron Eckhart.
As for who will fill their shoes, a new rumor asserts that Boyd Holbrook, star of Netflix’s The Sandman and The Predator, has landed the part.

Comingsoon.net reports the “rumor suggests that Holbrook was initially unavailable for the film due to his previous commitments to movies” by James Mangold and Andrew Levitas. However, The Batman sequel’s delay may have solved that problem.
While Holbrook can’t be confirmed for duty at this time, The Batman – Part 2’s IMDB page lists a stunt performer named Jake Tandy as a stunt double for him. This is a strong indication Holbrook is involved. His name is even dropped in the listing.
No source close to Warner Bros. or DC Studios has spoken on this matter yet, and we probably won’t be hearing from them for a little while due to Part 2’s delay and Superman being the immediate concern for the studio right now.
The Penguin debuts on Max later this year and will continue the saga of Gotham’s underworld in Reeves’ Bat-verse. The series should tee up the sequel which reports have suggested will bring back Riddler (Paul Dano) and Joker (Barry Keoghan).
Periodically, further speculation has arisen that Reeves is planning a trilogy that will introduce more villains and characters other than Two-Face. Hush and Robin have also been brought up as possible additions, but believe that when you see it.
