After almost 3 weeks since the murder trial of Kyle Rittenhouse started, the jury found the 18-year-old not guilty of all charges he was facing — namely first-degree reckless homicide, two charges for first-degree recklessly endangering safety, first-degree intentional homicide, and attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
Possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18 was the first charge to be dismissed by Judge Bruce Schroeder on Monday.
Now that Rittenhouse has been finally acquitted, Hollywood celebrities have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the jury’s long-awaited decision, and there are some fairly disappointing takes.
Woke Hollywood actor and comedian Patton Oswalt couldn’t help but to make a fairly racist remark, writing, “wanna be a supreme court justice wanna murder 2 people & not go to jail better 1) cut some onions 2) be white. (MUSICE CUE: ‘Cherry Pie’)”
Alyssa Milano made a rather uncharacteristically mellow comment, asserting, “F—ING NOT GUILTY” to show her frustration with the jury’s decision to acquit Kyle Rittenhouse.
“Well. Get ready for Senator Rittenhouse,” simply wrote Can’t Hardly Wait actor Ethan Embry who, to be quite fair, is one of the few woke celebrities who have actually followed and shared live updates of the trial on social media.
Hellboy actor Daniel Dae Kim somewhat sarcastically commented, “In other news you could see coming from a mile away…” regarding the trial’s verdict, and he is right; evidence did suggest that the jury would acquit Rittenhouse.
Another bad take was shared by actress and left-wing activist Mia Farrow, who wrote “So anyone can come to a protest, just march down the middle of the street with a massive gun – and kill people?”
Bad Feminist author Roxane Gay seemingly implies that Judge Schroeder is in some way responsible for the jury’s decision to acquit Rittenhouse, and even made the bold claim that the 18-year-old on trial is a white supremacist.
“I knew Rittenhouse would be acquitted but it is gutting to witness the inevitable, to know there will be no consequences for the judge,” asserted Gay, adding, “and to know Rittenhouse and others like him will be more emboldened to be openly white supremacist vigilantes. It’s hollowing.”
“In the Kenosha footage, Kyle Rittenhouse looks eerily like Eric Harris, one of the Columbine shooters,” stated woke author Stephen King prior to the jury’s reaching of a conclusion in the murder trial of Kyle Rittenhouse.
Choosing to play the race card, after Rittenhouse was found not guilty on all charges, King asserted in a separate tweet, “So… the white guy goes free. Is that the message?”
The Batman actor Jeffrey Wright shared a fairly tasteless tweet, comparing O.J. Simpson’s murder trial to Kyle Rittenhouse, writing, “OJ on the Rittenhouse verdict,” and sharing an animated gif that sees Russia President Vladimir Putin clapping in approval at the 2014 Olympics.
Unfunny comedian Michael Ian Black attempts to be funny in his interpretation of the jury’s verdict, asserting, “In fairness, Kyle Rittenhouse only killed two people. It’s not like he was smoking weed.”
Insufferable woke actress and left-wing activist Rosanna Arquette had quite a bit to say about Kyle Rittenhouse being acquitted by the jury, writing, “Murderer Kyle Rittenhouse acquitted is a crime in itself,” further proving that she never cared for the evidence presented at the trial.
In a follow-up tweet, Arquette implied that Rittenhouse and his mother will actually benefit from this whole situation.
“And now expect the vulture media to swarm around the killer and his mama,” tastelessly asserted Arquette.
“Absolutely no words,” wrote Frozen voice actor Josh Gad in response to the news.
Josh Gad was not at a loss for words in a separate tweet, however, making the news about the jury’s decision to acquit Kyle Rittenhouse being a case of racial inequality.
“It has now been put it out there that vigilantes can just go and kill people protesting issues like racial equality whenever they want and get away with it. Think about that for a second,” tastelessly suggested the woke actor.
In stark contrast, other celebrities were fairly supportive of the jury’s decision to acquit Kyle Rittenhouse of all the charges he was facing, also taking to social media to share their thoughts.
“Kyle Rittenhouse was defending himself,” asserted actor Randy Quaid, adding, “He’s a good kid.”
Regarding the jury’s long-awaited decision to acquit Rittenhouse, The Last Ship actor Adam Baldwin simply wrote “JUSTICE!”
In a separate tweet, Baldwin took jabs at the biased coverage of the Rittenhouse case by mainstream media, stating, “MSM talking heads are trying to retry the case. Fail!”
Baldwin also called out woke actress Katy Stoll’s take on the jury’s verdict, who claimed that it was “extremely disappointing,” albeit expected.
“‘depressing’ because the justice system prevailed,” wrote Adam Baldwin.
In response to President Joe Biden’s statement on the Rittenhouse trial verdict, Terror on the Prairie actor Nick Searcy wrote, “What are you angry about? That Americans have right to defend themselves from being murdered by your voters?”
Biden’s tweet in question read, “While the verdict in Kenosha will leave many Americans feeling angry and concerned, myself included, we must acknowledge that the jury has spoken,”
“Anyone wanna educate this guy?” asked Black Hawk Down actor Matthew Marsden, confronting a tweet that read, “I thought they would throw [Kyle Rittenhouse] behind bars for the rest of his life. This is so wrong. He killed innocent people.”
Marsden continued, “You mean the convicted child rapist that threatened to kill him and used the n word over and over? Or the guy that pulled the gun on him? Or the dude that was hitting him in the head with a skateboard?” He then encouraged the user to “Look into their criminal records.”
“You don’t get to get the result you want because it goes against your narrative,” asserted Marsden in a follow-up tweet, before criticising mainstream media for the biased coverage of the case.
He continued, “Anyone who watched this trial objectively, will tell you that this is the correct outcome. Stop politicizing it. The msm totally jumped the shark on this and will never be trusted again.”
