Cosplay of the Day: Metroid’s Zero Suit Samus Aran by Sabrina Mae

Samus Aran from the Metroid franchise is one of the most iconic and original female protagonists in early gaming. She made her debut in Metroid back on the original Nintendo system in 1986. The character was thought to be a male until the surprise reveal at the end of the game.

The Zero Suit is what Samus wears underneath her Power Suit and is typically seen when she’s not wearing her Power Suit.

She was first seen in this outfit after her ship crash-landed on the planet of Zebes in Metroid: Zero Mission.

The Zero Suit has shown up in a number of other Metroid games including Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Metroid Prime Hunters, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Metroid: Samus Returns, and Metroid: Other M.

Samus is also seen wearing the Zero Suit in the Super Smash Bros. franchise.
